I study how AI systems understand architectural space. My research focuses on spatial reasoning across architectural drawings, geometric grounding, and the evaluation of vision–language models and AI agents.

I also work on building performance simulation and climate-responsive design, connecting computational methods with questions about the built environment.

Research

Architectural AI & spatial reasoning

Understanding correspondence across plans, sections, and elevations. Evaluating whether models can identify spatial relationships and locate the same physical element across drawings.

Reliable AI agents & evaluation

Benchmarking long workflows, reusable execution experience, and research systems whose outputs can be checked against explicit evidence.

Building performance & climate

EnergyPlus-based simulation of building envelopes and climate-related heat exposure, including research on Hong Kong public housing.
